The 埃德·罗布森竞技场, named for Edward J. 罗布森, a 1954 CC graduate and former member of the hockey team, 是最先进的, 多用途, 室内, 校内比赛场地和 这里是CC男子冰球队的主场. It enables the college hockey team to play games on campus for the first time since the program started in 1938.  

As part of the City for Champions (C4C) initiative, the 埃德·罗布森竞技场 is one of two new Colorado Springs downtown sports venues in close proximity to the U.S. Olympic Museum — one outdoor and one 室内 — intended to attract visitors to Colorado Springs. 艾德·罗布森竞技场和韦德纳球场, Switchbacks足球队的主场, further solidify the city's vision as Olympic City USA, providing unique venues to host the growing momentum of a strong and vibrant tourism industry.  

埃德·罗布森竞技场 is built on the college campus on the block bordered by Nevada Avenue and Cache La Poudre, Tejon, 和戴尔街, and easily accessible by its student body, 教师, 工作人员, and numerous alumni and fans who live nearby. It is two blocks east of another recent community collaboration, the alliance between the college and the Colorado Springs 美术中心, the largest fine arts center between Denver and Santa Fe, 新墨西哥.

The college also is making these facilities available to the C4C initiative in conjunction with the Colorado Springs Sports Authority. 

竞技场 is part of CC's master plan approved by the college's Board of Trustees in 2015. The 多用途 space offers a wealth of opportunities not only for 科罗拉多大学, but also for the Colorado Springs community and the larger Pikes Peak region. 该场馆将举办区域性比赛, 国家, and inter国家 events in partnership with 国家 governing bodies, further enhancing Colorado Springs' vision as Olympic City USA. 

Funding for the arena comes from a $12 million gift by Edward J. 罗布森, 其他私人捐赠, and through the C4C initiative awarded to the city through the state's Regional Tourism Act. 

竞技场, along with the alliance with the Colorado Springs 美术中心, an operating agreement between KRCC and Colorado Public Radio, and CC's leadership role with Pikes Peak Community College, University of Colorado Colorado Springs, and the United States Air Force Academy on the 四方创新联盟, underscores the college's commitment to enriching the Colorado Springs community while providing further opportunities for CC students.
